Dear Denis and Janice, what great memories I have of your dear older sister, "Cokie." She seemed like the young matriarch of the neighborhood, always keeping one eye on us youngins (well at least Janice and me...) She didn't put up with any nonsense while being very kind hearted. I remember Janice and I talking her into taking us to North Side pool one day - we must have been too young to be allowed to go on our own - at first she said she didn't want to go because she had done her hair - she had a date that night - anyway we wore her down, and she took us. As soon as we got in the water, some kid splashed her and there went her newly styled, teased hairdo! Please accept my condolences on your loss, and pass them along to her children. She was a very special person who spent her youth in a very special north side neighborhood. God bless all of you. Sincerely, Kathie Chaffee Gaige
