David & Phyllis Jenkins send their sincerest condolences to Marie and her family. We were John & Marie's neighbors at 53 East Auburndale. Marie was especially kind to Phyllis when we had our first child in 1959. John was always helpful and a true gentleman.

Mrs. Carbon, John and Donna, and family,
I am so sorry about John. I had the extreme pleasure to know and work with him on the fire department. All I can think of him was being a true gentleman and a gentle giant.
Sorry I could not attend due to work and taking care of my 90yr old Parents.

Dear Family of John Carbon,
Prayers for the Carbon Family with your loss of the family Patriarch, John Carbon. We only knew him a short time of approximately a year and a half but learned what a true HERO he was and how much he did for his family and all of us as an American Humanitarian. He will be missed by many but celebrate his life in all of his Family. We rejoice in his life and comfort in his peace being with our Lord. It was an honor to have been a part of his care at Humility House and that continues for his beautiful Wife, Marie.
May God grant John, Marie and the Carbon Family his peace in Christ Jesus.
In sincere sympathies, Diane Nemeth, RN (Humility House)

DEAR FAMILY,
MARIE, JOHN, BOB, DONNA, DIANE I WAS EXTREMELY SADDENED TO LEARN OF THE PASSING OF JOHN. I ALWAYS LOOKED FORWARD TO HEARING A JOKE OR GETTING A HUG FROM HIM WHEN HE USED TO MAKE HIS OFFICE VISITS TO DR. BAILEY'S OFFICE WHEN I WAS WORKING THERE. THERE WAS NEVER A TIME THAT HE FORGOT TO ASK HOW MY PARENTS WERE DOING AND TO TELL THEM HE SAID HELLO. MY DEEPEST SYMPATHY IS WITH THE ENTIRE FAMILY. MY LOVE AND PRAYERS ARE WITH YOU ALL. MAY GOD RAISE JOHN UP AND RENEW HIS LIFE AS WE ON EARTH KEEP HIS MEMORY ETERNAL. LOVE, COUSIN CYNDI.

“The strength of a man is in his character. A strong man is great man of wisdom who understands, his top priority is to his family.”
In my life, I cannot think of an example of a strong man without John's name at the top of the list. John, along with my father and a few others of that generation, were giants. The Earth will not see their like again soon. May God send his angels to escort John to a place of perpetual refreshment, light and peace.
