Boardman - There will be a Memorial Mass of Christian Burial held on Saturday, February 16, 2019 at 10:00 am at St. Charles Borromeo Church, Boardman, with Father Philip Rogers officiating, for Gino Bryarly, 68, of Boardman, who passed away at his residence on Monday, February 4, 2019.
Gino was born in Youngstown on June 7, 1950, the son of Ida (DeCarlo) Bryarly. He will always be remembered and loved for his outgoing and happy personality.
Gino was a 1969 graduate of Ursuline High School and continued his education following his love for cooking by graduating from the Minnesota Culinary Art School. He attended St. Charles Borromeo Church.
Gino was a proud United States Army Veteran serving during the Vietnam War and was stationed in Korea. He earned the rank of Private First Class and was awarded the following decorations for his service to our country; the Good Conduct Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Marksman Qualification Badge M-16 and the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal.
He began his career working with his family as a baker at DeCarlo’s Bakery on the Eastside of Youngstown. Gino then moved to Las Vegas and was employed at the Frontier Casino for 8 years and Caesar’s Palace for over 23 years where he was a Slot Floorman. Upon his retirement he moved back to Youngstown to be with his family.
Gino enjoyed working out by lifting weights, walking to stay fit, listening to music, dancing and spending time with his two special nieces Alyson and Terra.Gino had a true passion for cooking, especially all his Italian specialties for family and friends.
Gino leaves behind to hold onto his precious memories his siblings Robert Bryarly of Boardman, Jeanene (Butch) Peterson of Wisconsin, JoAnn Bryarly of Jefferson, Ray (Susie) Bryarly of Las Vegas, Nevada, Marlene (Denny) Crook of Lake Milton, Mary (Joe) Russo of Wisconsin, Annette (Terry) Novak of Las Vegas, Nevada along with many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. Gino was preceded in death by his loving mother Ida and his sister Eileen Bryarly.
Family and friends may pay their respects on Saturday, February 16, 2019, from 9:00 am until 9:50 am in the gathering space at Saint Charles Borromeo Church, Boardman.
Inurnment will take place at Calvary Cemetery, Youngstown.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the professional care of the Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home, 4221 Market St., Boardman.
