Youngstown – There was a private funeral service held on Saturday, June 16, 2018 with Father John Jerek officiating for Joann Krivan, 84, of Youngstown who peacefully passed away Tuesday morning, June 12, 2018.
Joann will always be remembered and loved by her family and friends.
She was born February 4, 1934 in Youngstown the daughter of Edward and Ursula (Vasper) Thomas and was a lifelong area resident.
Joann was a graduate of Poland Seminary High School and a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Parish, St. Matthias Church and the Catholic Ladies Penn Slovak Union.
Joann was a devoted homemaker and devoted caregiver for many of her family members. She truly enjoyed helping and offering her family support in their times of illness. She loved spending time with her nieces and nephews all of whom had a special bond with her.
Her husband Michael Krivan whom she married October 6, 1956 died September 26, 1990.
Joann leaves behind to hold onto her precious memories her two sisters, her twin Rita Wolff of Boardman and Doris Montgomery of Florida along with many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and extended family members.
Besides her parents and husband, Joann was preceded in death by three brothers James, Edward and William Thomas.
Burial took place at Calvary Cemetery, Youngstown.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the professional care of the Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home, 4221 Market St., Boardman (new location).
