Youngstown – There was a Mass of Christian Burial held on Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Basilica, officiated by the Very Rev. Msgr. Michael J. Cariglio, for Joseph DiOrio, 86, of Youngstown, who passed away Saturday afternoon, June 30, 2018.
Joe will always be remembered and loved by his family and friends for his sense of humor and zest for life.
He was born February 16, 1932 in Youngstown, the son of Anthony Vincent and Angela Marie (Jacobone) DiOrio and was a lifelong area resident.
Joe attended South High School and was employed for over 36 years as a roller for Republic Steel Company which later became LTV Steel Company and retired in 1986.
Joe was a lifelong member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Basilica and enjoyed attending casinos, golfing with friends and listening to music.
He leaves behind to hold onto his precious memoires two sisters Anna Marie DiOrio and Victoria (Tom) Tablack both of Boardman, two nieces Leslie Filo and Jennifer DiOrio, a nephew Anthony (Lisa) Filo and a great nephew Anthony Joseph Filo and a great niece Nicolette Filo along with many cousins and friends.
Besides his parents, Joseph was preceded in death by an uncle Henry Jacobone.
Entombment took place at Calvary Cemetery, Youngstown.
Arrangements were entrusted to the professional care of the Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home, 4221 Market St., Youngstown.
