Boardman: There will be a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at 10:00 am at Saint Charles Borromeo Church, 7345 Westview Drive in Boardman with Father Gerald DeLucia officiating for Linda Marie Meenachan, 67, of Boardman, who passed away peacefully Sunday evening, October 14, 2018 with her loving family by her side after a courageous battle with cancer.
Linda will always be remembered and loved by her family and friends for her devotion and determination, her strong will and compassion to all who knew her.
She was born November 20, 1950 in Youngstown, the daughter of Nick and Delight (Nerone) Pannunzio and was a lifelong area resident.
Linda was employed at General Motors Lordstown and Lear Corporation along with being a proud homemaker. She was a true matriarch and her family will miss all her wonderful cooking especially her spaghetti.
She was a 1968 graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School and a member of St. Charles Borromeo Church.
Linda had many passions throughout her life. She enjoyed shopping, canning, spending time with her family, decorating for Christmas and rooting on her favorite team the Green Bay Packers.
She leaves behind to hold onto her precious memories her beloved husband of over 40 years, Sean Meenachan whom she married on February 11, 1978 at St. Dominic Church, a daughter Lindsay Meenachan of Boardman, her mother Delight Pannunzio of Youngstown, two brothers Gino (Carol) Pannunzio of Canfield and Nick (Christine) Pannunzio of Maryland, and a sister JoAnn Chakos of Florida along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father Nick Pannunzio.
Family and friends may pay their respects on Saturday, October 20, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. until 9:55 a.m. at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 7345 Westview Dr., Boardman.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the professional care of the Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home, 4221 Market St., Boardman.
On behalf of Linda’s family, they would like to express their sincere appreciation and heartfelt thanks to the entire staff of Hospice of the Valley for all the care, compassion, and support shown to them and Linda throughout this difficult time.
