Youngstown – Paul O. Neidlinger, 86, of Youngstown, passed away on Sunday, March 3, 2019 at Greenbriar Healthcare Center.
Paul will always be remembered and loved by his family and friends for his humbleness and quick wit.
He was born September 12, 1932 in Warren, the son of Harry and Helen (Sauers) Neidlinger and was a lifelong area resident.
Paul was a 1950 graduate of Warren Harding High School and attended Youngstown College. Paul worked as an Estimator / Engineer for Scholl-Choffin Company in Youngstown, Ohio for many years.
Paul was a proud United States Army Veteran serving during the Korean War. He earned the following decorations for his service to our country; the National Defense Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. Paul received and Honorable Discharge on October 22, 1954.
Paul was a member of South Side Duplicate Bridge Club. Paul earned over 3,400 points in his lifetime making him a Gold Life Master. Paul loved watching his Cleveland sports teams. Paul enjoyed playing tennis, and not too long ago was a gold medalist in multiple events in the Senior Olympics
His wife of over 51 years the former Carol Adair Keck whom he married November 18, 1966 died September 29, 2017.
Paul will be missed by his two sons David Neidlinger and Rob Neidlinger (Lori), one daughter, Beth Ricci, and six grandchildren Ashley Phillips, Lauren Stout, Angela Ricci, Marissa Ricci, Noah Neidlinger and Jarod Neidlinger.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the professional care of the Rossi & Sanutcci Funeral Home, 4221 Market St., Boardman.
