Boardman – There will be a memorial service held on Saturday, March 9, 2019 at 3:30 p.m. at the Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home, Boardman, with Pastor Matt Stacy officiating for Vincent Anthony Vitucci, 85, of Boardman, who passed away peacefully with his loving wife and family by his side.
Vincent will always be remembered and loved by his family and friends for his generosity, sense of humor and being soft spoken.
He was born January 15, 1934 in Campbell, Ohio the son of Frank and Victoria (Revette) Vitucci and was a lifelong area resident.
Vincent was a graduate of Campbell High School and was a proud United States Army Veteran serving during the Vietnam War. He earned the rank of Private First Class and was awarded the following decorations for his country; the Good Conduct Medal and the National Defense Service Medal.
Vincent was employed for over 39 years with the United States Postal Service as a letter carrier in Struthers and retired in 2001.
He attended St. Nicholas Church and was a member of National Association of Letter Carriers.
Vincent had many passions throughout his life. He enjoyed playing the slots at Casino’s, attending flea markets, dancing, listening to Country & Western music and singing karaoke. Vincent also enjoyed traveling with his wife to France and was a fan of all Cleveland sports teams, the Browns, Indians and Cavaliers.
Vincent leaves behind to hold on to his memories, his wife the former Marie Jo Richetin whom he married April 4, 2003, his children, Vincent F. (Pam) Vitucci of Struthers, Robert (Tiffany) Vitucci of Poland, William (William Morgan) Ross of New Castle and Angela (Robert) Mass of Boardman, his eight grandchildren Mike, Chuck, Nick, Thomas, Kaitlyn and Anelisa Vitucci, and Rachel and Mariah Mass, his beloved two cats Chad and Jimmy, along with a great grandchild on the way.
Besides his parents, Vince was preceded in death by a son James A. Vitucci and two sisters Antoinette Ramunno and Carmel Young.
Family and friends may pay their respects on Saturday, March 9, 2019 from1:00 p.m. until 3:20 p.m. at the Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home, 4221 Market St., Boardman.
In lieu of flowers material contributions may be made in Vincent’s name to the Hospice House, 9803 Sharrott Rd., Poland, Ohio 44514.
On behalf of Vincent’s family, they would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the entire staff of the Hospice House for all the care and compassion that was shown to them and Vince throughout this difficult time.
