Florida - There will be a Divine Liturgy of Christian Burial on Saturday, June 18, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Maron Church, 1555 S. Meridian Rd., Youngstown, with Chorbishop Michael Kail officiating for Alan Mike, 64, formerly of Boardman, who peacefully passed away Sunday morning, June 12, 2016 with his loving family by his side in florida. Alan will always be remembered and loved by his family and friends for his outspoken personality, impeccable appearance, big heart and was truly one of a kind. If you were a friend to Alan, you were family for life. He was born March 6, 1952 in Lebanon. Alan was the son of Rameh and Linda (Morkos) Khoury who was then adopted by his uncle and aunt Wadih "Woody" (Theresa) Mike at the age of 13 when his mom passed away. He came to the United States on February 13, 1964 where they first lived in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania before moving to the Youngstown area. Alan was a graduate of The Rayen High School and then attended Youngstown State University majoring in Business. Alan was dedicated to the food service industry for over 40 years. He started his career as a sales/truck driver and earned his way up to a Regional District Manager of a Fortune 500 company. Alan was employed first with Acme Steak Company followed by Sysco Food Service, US Foods and Hillcrest Food Service. He left a lasting impression with so many colleagues and customers. Alan was awarded many awards and had numerous accomplishments over the years for his service and dedication to the industry. He was an active member of St. Maron Church always participating in many of the activities and was a member of the parish council. Alan also was an active member of National Shrine of Our Lady of Lebanon Basilica where he held a position on the board as well. Alan was a kind and generous man always wanting to help. He was involved in many fund raising events that included political party events, the Hope Foundation and the Taste of the Valley. Alan had many passions throughout his life but he always put his family first. He loved nothing more than spending time with his children and grandchildren and participating in their activities. Alan was a car enthusiast and enjoyed playing cards along with entertaining and socializing with family and friends. He leaves behind his wife Charmaine of over 36 years of marriage which began on June 24, 1979, his three children Alan (Nicholette) Mike of Howland, Jason Mike of Poland and Shauna (Brian) Jones of Florida, his four grandchildren Alyssa, Jamison, Kenzie and Bryson, which all were the heartbeats of his life. He also leaves behind his sisters Susan (Michael) Kermec of Girard and Nouha (Hanna) Daoud of Florida and a brother Youseff (Elaine Lawson) Khoury of Austintown. Family and friends may pay their respects on Friday, June 17, 2016 from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home, 4700 Market St., where the Prayers of Incense Prayer Service will take place at 6:45 pm., friends and family may also pay respects on Saturday morning, June 18, 2016 from 9:00 am until 9:45 am at St. Maron Church, 1555 S. Meridian Rd., Youngstown. Burial will take place at the at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Boardman.
