BOARDMAN - Andrew "Andy" Harasym, 71, passed away peacefully on July 23, 2026, at Hospice House.
Andy was born Dec. 14, 1954, in Youngstown, the son of Michael and Netta (Tomasino) Harasym and grew up on the East side.
Andy was a proud graduate of Ursuline High School, class of 1973. Following his high school years, he furthered his education by earning an associate degree in specialized technology from the New Castle School of Trades.
Andy was more than his work; he was a kind soul whose passions enriched his days and those around him. He had a deep love for music of all sorts, finding joy and comfort in its many styles.
Family always held a central place in Andy’s heart. He is survived by his loving sisters, Nancy Cappitte and Christine Lockard, whose bonds and memories together will remain cherished; and several nieces and nephews.
Andy was preceded in death by his beloved parents; his sister and brother-in-law Mary Jean (John) Sajnovsky; brother-in-law Donald Cappitte; and longtime companion of over 20 years, Charlotte Cross.
Services to honor Andy's life will be held on Tuesday, July 28, 2026. Visitation will take place from 9:00 to 9:30 a.m. at Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home, 4221 Market St, Boardman where a prayer service will immediately follow at the funeral home at 9:30 a.m., There will be a Funeral Mass celebrated on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Dominic Catholic Church, 77 E Lucius Ave, Youngstown.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that material tributes take the form of donations to St. Dominic Church, 77 E Lucius Ave, Youngstown, Ohio 44507 or Hospice House, 9803 Sharrott Rd., Poland, Ohio 44514.
