Obituary

Poland - There will be a Mass of Christian Burial held on Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Youngstown, with the Very Rev. Msgr. Michael J. Cariglio Jr. officiating, preceded by a 9:10 a.m. prayer service held at the Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home, 4700 Market St., Boardman, for Angelina Chiovitti Iamurri, 89, who was carried off by angels to her Heavenly home on Saturday morning with her loving family by her side. Angelina will always be remembered and loved by her family and friends. She was born June 22, 1922 in Boiano, Italy, the daughter of Giuseppe and Carmela (Pitoscia) Chiovitti. She immigrated to the United States on January 11, 1969. Angelina was employed with Petrollo Pizza Shop for over 12 years and was a former member of St. Elizabeth Church, Campbell and currently a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Youngstown. Her greatest joy was being a homemaker and caring for her family which she always did with all her heart and a smile. They are all going to miss her excellent cooking especially her homemade pastas and meatballs along with the times they would just be together. Angelina enjoyed dancing, listening to Italian music, gardening and sipping on a glass of wine. She leaves behind to cherish her precious memories her beloved husband of over 71 years Cosmo Iamurri whom she married on April 22, 1941, three children Christina (Peppino) Cobucci of Italy, Tony (Margaret) Iamurri and Ida (Tony) Melia both of Poland, nine grandchildren Diane Sigurani, Cosmo (Jen) Iamurri, Carmelina Iamurri, Domenica (John) Latouf, Gio Melia, Tony Melia, Franka Cobucci, Angela (Antonio) Zicardi, and Mirella Cobucci, five great grandchildren Kenny and Luis Sigurani, Milania Woodward, Flavia and Andrea Zicardi, a brother Amedo (Perina) Chiovitti of Poland and a sister Carolina Chiovitti. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by a son Pasquela Iamurri, and two brothers Michael and Giovanni Chiovitti. Friends may call on Tuesday, May 22, 2012 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home, 4700 Market St., Boardman.
