Canfield - - There will be a Mass of Christian Burial held on Monday, April 4, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Basilica, 343 Via Mt. Carmel, Youngstown, with the Very Rev. Msgr. Michael J. Cariglio Jr. as celebrant, preceded by a 9:10 a.m. prayer service held at the Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home, 4700 Market St., Boardman, for Angeline "Angie" Marie (Fusillo) Pannunzio, 91, of Canfield, who passed away on Monday evening, March 28, 2016 with her loving family and her caregivers Kara and Lora by her side. Angie will always be remembered and loved by her family and friends for her generous and kind heart along with her beautiful smile. Angie was born May 26, 1924 in Youngstown, the daughter of Matteo and Catherine (D'Augustine) Fusillo and was a lifelong area resident. She was a graduate of East High School and a proud homemaker. Angie was a terrific cook and baker especially making her Easter Pies that everyone will miss. She was especially known for her annual special Christmas eve dinner holding to the Italian traditions with all the fish that her family loved so much. Angie was an active member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Basilica, participating in the St. Anthony Novena and being a member of the Mothers of Crucifix Society and St. Monica Guild. She was also very active in the community where she was a member of the Wolves Club Auxiliary, the Latin Culture Club, the Sons of Italy Lodge 858 and the 55 card club. Angie had many passions throughout her life most of all dancing with her husband. Some of her enjoyments were bowling in leagues where she won many trophies, playing bocce, and playing cards with her girlfriends and in couple's card clubs. Her husband Anthony C. Pannunzio whom she married June 15, 1946 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church died October 31, 1998. Angie leaves behind to hold onto her precious memories her son John M. Pannunzio and his wife Mary Jo of Canfield, two grandchildren Valerie Kessler and husband Alex of Marysville, Ohio and Anthony Pannunzio and wife Susan of Canfield, five great grandchildren Anthony and Nicholas Kessler and Tony, Gianna and Joey Pannunzio and a sister Mary Lou Joseph of Columbus. Besides her parents and husband Angie was preceded in death by a sister Madeline Herrock and two brothers Frank and Joseph Fusillo. Family and friends may pay their respects on Sunday, April 3, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home 4700 Market St., Boardman, where a combined prayer service will be held at 6:45 p.m. by the Mothers of Crucifix Society and the St. Monica Guild of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Basilica. Burial will take place at Calvary Cemetery, Youngstown.
