Obituary

Poland - Ann A. (Mosco) Giannios, 72, of Poland, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.

Ann was born December 15, 1953, in Youngstown, the daughter of the late Angelo “Gobby” and Edith Mosco. She was a proud 1971 graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School.

Ann met the love of her life, J. Gregory Giannios, while working at Consolidated. They married on September 18, 1976, and built a beautiful life together filled with love, family, faith, and countless treasured memories. They would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on September 18, 2026.

A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, Ann’s family was the center of her world. Nothing brought her greater happiness than being surrounded by those she loved, especially her grandchildren, who were truly her everything. Her love, strength, warmth, and devotion will remain forever in the hearts of all who knew her.

Ann dedicated her life to caring for her family while also serving as an owner of Giannios Candy Company. She was a devoted member of St. John the Forerunner Greek Orthodox Church, where she served as president, was a member of the Daughters of Penelope, and generously gave her time to the church’s many festivals and activities. Her deep faith and love for her church community were important parts of her life.

Ann leaves behind her beloved husband, J. Gregory Giannios; her son, Greg Giannios and his fiancée, Andrea, of Boardman; her daughter, Krista Giannios-Kaydo and her husband, Frank, of Poland; and her cherished grandchildren, Gabriella and Jimmy Giannios, and Francesca and Edie Kaydo.

She is also survived by her sister, Patti Bell; her brother, Angelo Mosco; her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, John and Jacquelyn Giannios of Poland; and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends.

In addition to her parents, Ann was preceded in death by her brother, Louis Mosco; her sister, Angie D’Altorio; her nephew, Nicholas D’Altorio; her in-laws, James and Kathryn Giannios; and her brother-in-law, Gus Giannios.

Ann will be remembered as a beautiful, strong, and loving woman whose greatest gift was the unconditional love she gave to her family. She leaves behind a legacy of faith, kindness, courage, and devotion that will live on through her children and grandchildren. To know Ann was to know how deeply she loved—and how deeply she was loved in return.

Family and friends may pay their respects on Sunday, September 20, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home, 4221 Market Street in Boardman.

Additional calling hours will be held on Monday, September 21, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until 10:50 a.m. at St. John the Forerunner Greek Orthodox Church, 4955 Glenwood Ave., Boardman, OH 44512. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m., with Father Constantin Ursache officiating.

Entombment will take place at Lake Park Cemetery, Youngstown.
