Youngstown- There will be a funeral service held on Monday, August 22, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at the Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home, 4700 Market St., Boardman, for Anna Augustine, 90, of Youngstown, who passed away on Thursday evening August 18, 2011 with her loving family by her side. Anna will always be remembered and loved by her family and friends. She was born January 1, 1921 in Youngstown, the daughter of Nick and Rose (Yavorsky) Fedina and was a lifelong area resident. Anna was employed at Islay's, and then was a cook at Woolworth Restaurant in Woolworth Department Store in Downtown Youngstown and the Hamburger Square Restaurant on the West Side along with being a homemaker. She enjoyed working in her rock, flower and vegetable gardens, along with cooking and baking all her famous homemade dinners from scratch. Anna loved playing BINGO, but she especially loved spending time with her family and grandchildren and her grandsons traveled from far distances to be with her in her final days. Her husband Frank J. Augustine whom she married May 23, 1943 died September 31, 1971. She leaves behind to hold on to her memory her daughter Martha Jane Drozdik and companion James Hvizdos of Youngstown, a son Frank J. Jr. (Theresa) Augustine of Poland, seven grandchildren 1SG Michael Frank (Stacey) Sullivan stationed at Ft. Drum, New York, currently serving his country in Afghanistan, Anthony E. Drozdik and companion Alaine Annerino of Youngstown, Edward Drozdik of Texas, Frank Augustine III of New Springfield, Donald Augustine of Wisconsin, Danielle Augustine of Columbus and Tori Augustine of Poland and seven great grandchildren. Besides her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a baby sister Catherine Fedina and two brothers Michael and Metro Fedina. Friends may call on Sunday, August 21, 2011 from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home, 4700 Market St., Boardman. Burial will take place at Calvary Cemetery, Youngstown.
