Youngstown - Anthony A. DeRenzis Sr., 68, of Youngstown, passed away Monday afternoon, January 27, 2014 surrounded by his loving family. Anthony will always be remembered and loved by his family and friends. He was born July 21, 1945 in Youngstown, the son of Artilleio and Mamie (Holms) DeRenzis and was a lifelong area resident. Anthony was a 1963 graduate of East High School. He retired after 40 years of employment on the railroad as a car inspector with Conrail which now became Norfolk Southern Railroad. Anthony was a coach for Boardman Youth Baseball Association, the Mill Creek Baseball Association and then was an assistant coach with his son in Liberty. He enjoyed square dancing, going to breakfast with his fellow retires from the railroad and was an avid football fan always rooting on his favorite team the Cleveland Browns. His wife the former Donna Brown whom he married August of 1970 died December of 1994. He leaves behind to hold on to his precious memories three sons Anthony A. Jr. (Dena) DeRenzis of Youngstown, Adam (Cori) DeRenzis of Brookfield and Andrew DeRenzis of Youngstown and five grandchildren whom he adored Nathan, Rachel, Hannah, Brianna and Alex. Anthony was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved wife Dona.
