Obituary

Youngstown - Anthony Joseph "Tony" Belline Sr., 88, of Youngstown, passed away on Tuesday evening December 23, 2014 with his loving family by his side. Tony will always be remembered and loved by his family and friends for his great smile and generous personality. He was born May 20, 1925 in Youngstown, the son of Emilio and Alvera (Tisone) Belline and was a lifelong area resident. Tony attended East High School and was a United States Navy Veteran serving during peace time. He was employed with Youngstown Steel Door Company for over 45 years as a micro welder and retired in 1982. Upon his retirement Tony then worked with the Ohio Fish and Game Commission as a patrolman. He was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Basilica and the AFL-CIO Union. Tony had many passions in his lifetime. He enjoyed working in his flower and vegetable garden and building all size model airplanes that he would give to his family and friends. He loved playing music and was very talented and some of his most precious times were when he played with the Rocky Chirchiglia Band. He leaves behind to hold on to his precious memories his wife of over 66 years the former Margaret Wokaly whom he married January 12, 1948, his children Mary Wix and Janet (George Sr.) Summers both of Youngstown, and Anthony Joseph Jr. (Brenda) Belline of North Carolina, five grandchildren Allen (Tracy) Wix, Angela (Jim) Naples, George Jr. (Marcy) Summers, Michael and Joseph Belline, ten great grandchildren, Dani, Nicholas, Matthew, Lauren, Bianca, Samantha, Jeffrey, Bailey, Natalie, and Alexa and a sister Angela (Pete) Terlesky of Youngstown. Besides his parents Tony was preceded in death by a grandson Kenneth Wix, and two sisters Rose Plunchinsky and Irene Froslear. Per Tony's request a caring cremation has taken place and there will be no services or calling hours. Arrangements have been entrusted to the professional care of the Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home, 4700 Market St., Boardman. In lieu of flowers material contributions may be made in Tony's name to the Dorothy Day House, 620 Belmont Ave., Youngstown, Ohio 44502.
