Obituary

Canfield - There was a private graveside funeral service held at Lake Park Cemetery, Youngstown, with the Very Rev. Msgr. Michael J. Cariglio officiating for Antoinette M. Ranno, 82, of Canfield, who passed away Saturday afternoon, January 7, 2012 with her loving family by her side. Antoinette will always be remembered and loved by her family and friends for her kindness and big heart. She was born May 5, 1929 in Youngstown, the daughter of Lawrence and Mary (Naples) Barba and was a lifelong area resident. Antoinette was employed with General Electric, Republic Rubber and Packard Electric along with being a homemaker. She was a member of St. Anthony Church and enjoyed cooking and baking her famous wedding cookies, but she especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. Her husband Samuel Ranno whom she married May 18, 1957 died in 2009. She leaves behind to hold on to her precious memories her son Sam (Donna) Ranno of Poland, two grandchildren Matthew and Julia Ranno, a brother Carmen Barba of Austintown and a sister Anna Barba of Canfield. Besides her parents and husband she was preceded in death by three brothers Jerry Barba, Steve Barba and William Nicastro and three sisters Katherine Herubin, Josephine Naples, and Rose Mestichelli. Arrangements have been entrusted to the professional care of the Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home, 4700 Market St., Boardman. Burial took place at Lake Park Cemetery, Youngstown.
