Youngstown - There will be a Mass of Christian Burial held on Thursday, January 10, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Youngstown, with the Very Rev. Msgr. Michael J. Cariglio Jr. officiating, preceded by a 9:15 a.m. prayer service held at the Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home, 4700 Market St., Boardman, for Antonio Iamurri, 79, who was carried off by angels to his Heavenly home early Sunday morning, January 6, 2013 with his loving family by his side. Antonio will always be remembered and loved by his family and friends. He was born May 20, 1933 in Boiano, Italy, the son of Pascuale "Patsy" and Cristina (Romana) Iamurri and immigrated to the United States when he was 18 years old in 1951. Once Antonio arrived in the United States he lived in New Jersey where he began his career owning a fruit and vegetable stand. He then moved to the Youngstown Area in 1971 and in 1972 he started Tony's Paving and Excavating Company along with owning and operating Hill Top Pizza in Hillsville and a restaurant on route 422. He was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church and the East Side Civics. Antonio was extremely proud of his Italian heritage and enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards with his family and friends, canning, and making homemade sausage and wine. He loved to cook and his family will miss all his excellent dishes. Antonio had a passion for animals and after his retirement he raised sheep, goats, rabbits and chickens and his beloved dog Puppy. He leaves behind to hold on to his memories his children Christina Volpe, Anthony (Linda) Iamurri, Maria Iamurri, Susanna Baez, Francina Orellana, Cosmo (Brenda) Iamurri, Ruben Iamurri, Anna Maria Iamurri, Marie Iamurri, Pasqualina Iamurri and Domenic Iamurri along with being blessed with many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by four daughters Pasqualina Iamurri, JoAnn Iamurri, Filomina Iamurri and an infant twin Francina Iamurri, a twin son Pasquel Iamurri, a grandson James Nardone, two brothers Cosmo and Domenico Iamurri and two sisters Filomena Iamurri and Assunta Spina. Friends may call on Wednesday, January 9, 2013 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home, 4700 Market St., Boardman. Burial will take place at Calvary Cemetery, Youngstown.
