Lowellville- Arlene J. Jones, W. Wood St., Lowellville, passed away Saturday morning, December 20, 2014, at Maplecrest Nursing Home in Struthers, with her family by her side, after a brief battle with cancer. She was 61. Mrs. Jones was born June 25, 1953 in Mt. Pleasant, PA, a daughter of Arla and Joyce (Motto) Firmstone. She settled in Youngstown as a young child. She was a member of Ursuline High School's graduating class of 1971. For several years Arlene owned and operated Bobby's Floral and Balloon in Coitsville. After she sold her business she worked for the Nemenz family grocery stores for a time and most recently she was employed with Dollar General in New Middletown. She married Jimmy Jones on March 3, 1973, and they shared 38 wonderful years together until his passing on March 22, 2011. She is survived by her parents, Arla and Joyce Firmstone of Pulaski; a son, Jimmy (Trisha) Jones of Lowellville; a daughter, Autumn Seidita (Brian Mease) of Lowellville; two brothers; Joseph (Beverly) Firmstone of East Palestine, and Michael (Lisa) Firmstone of New Middletown; a sister, Lori (Roy) Bosiljcic of Austintown; and five grandchildren; Haley Hite, Paige Viga, Maxximus Jones, Michael Seidita, and Cooper Jones. She was preceded in death by her husband. Arlene was a kind, loving lady and a devoted daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to many. She will be sadly missed by all those who loved her.
