AUSTINTOWN - There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Charles Church celebrated by Rev Philip Rogers for Barbara Falk Probert, who passed away Thursday evening at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Youngstown surrounded by her loving family . She was born October 25, 1940, in Aliquippa, PA., a daughter of Wilbert Dennis and Mildred Elizabeth Williamson Falk. Barbara spent much of her childhood in Pennsylvania, where she graduated from Hopewell High School with the Class of 1959. She was a homemaker and excellent baker affectionately known to many as the cookie lady, her specialty was the close pin cookie. She was a long time member of St. Titus Church and was involved with their Christian Mothers organization until moving to Ohio and joining St. Charles parish. She enjoyed shopping, baking, dancing, traveling but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by her husband Larry Probert whom she married on September 25, 1993. She also leaves her two daughters, Lisa DeSalle (John) Taormina of Center Township, PA, Leslie DeSalle (Chris) Mediate of Boardman; a daughter-in-law Lorrie DeSalle of Aliquippa, PA; her four sisters Mary Janet Buffalini, Bonnie Wright, Bette Romeo all of Pennsylvania, Paula Henderson of Florida; two brothers Wilbert and Cecil Falk both of Pennsylvania; two step-sisters, Lori Thompson ,Toni Worrell both of PA; five grandchildren, Kayla Taormina, John Michael Taormina, Addie DeSalle, Christopher Mediate and Carson Mediate. Besides her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her son Edward E. DeSalle. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday at Rossi and Santucci Funeral Home in Boardman or from 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Tuesday at St. Charles Church.
