Poland - Catharine Singleton, 95, of Shepherd of the Valley, Poland, died Thursday, April 4, 2013 at Hospice of The Valley, (Hospice House) Poland. She was born December 2, 1917 to E. Perrin Schwartz and Carolyn C. Eppers in Grand Rapids, MI. and lived most of her life in Milwaukee WI, where she taught school for The Milwaukee Public School System. She also resided in South Bend, IN. for 30 years before moving to Poland, Oh. She is survived by her three sons, Tim (Maureen) of Wisconsin, Tom of Minneapolis, Jim (Pam) of Pennsylvania, and two daughters, Margaret (Ed) Marks of Wisconsin and Joan (Ron) Firestine of Boardman, Ohio, 20 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, George "Pat" Singleton, and daughters Barbara Sellers and Kathleen Kelly. Cathy's children will meet in Milwaukee for a funeral mass and burial at Holy Cross Cemetery at a later date.
