Obituary

Canfield - There will be a Mass of Christian Burial held on Friday, April 13, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Edward Church, Youngstown, with the Very Rev. Msgr. Robert Siffrin officiating, preceded by a 9:00 a.m. prayer service held at the Rossi & Santucci funeral Home, 4700 Market St., Boardman, for Charles J. Pulice, 85, of Canfield, who passed away Monday evening, April 9, 2012 at the Hospice House. Charles will always be remembered and loved by his family and friends for his friendly and outgoing personality. He was born November 15, 1926 in Washington, Pennsylvania, the son of Angelo and Essie (Thomas) "Polish" Pulice. Charles retired from Commercial Intertech and then worked at Giant Eagle in Liberty Township for over 15 years. He was a United States Army Veteran of World War II where he earned the rank of Private First Class and received an Honorable Discharge on January 13, 1946. Charles was a member of St. Edward Church, and was a big Pittsburgh Steelers and the New York Yankees fan. He loved to cook, play the lottery and enjoyed fishing. His wife the former Dorothy Romeo whom he married May 23, 1953 died November 24, 2010. He leaves behind to hold on to his precious memories three sons Charles (Cathy) Pulice of Struthers, David (Theresa) Pulice of Virginia, and Dominic Pulice of Canfield, a daughter Elly and her husband Larry Treasic who was more like a son to Charles of Canfield, 7 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, a brother John Polish of Girard, his beloved dog Molly along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Besides his parents and wife he was preceded in death by an Infant son, a sister Rose Horney and a brother Anthony Pulice. Friends may call on Thursday, April 12, 2012 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home, 4700 Market St., Boardman. Entombment will take place at Calvary Cemetery, Youngstown with military honors.
