Youngstown - There will be a Mass of Christian Burial held on Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Sorrows Parish, Ss Cyril & Methodius Church, 252 E. Wood St., Youngstown, with Father Martin Celuch officiating, for Charles F. Sarachman, 67, of Youngstown, who passed away peacefully Saturday morning, August 22, 2015. Charles will always be remembered and loved by his family and friends for his smile and giving personality. He was born January 26, 1948 in Youngstown, the son of Frank and Mildred (Brozman) Sarachman. Charles was a proud graduate of Cardinal Mooney High School. Upon graduation Charles entered the Athenaeum of Ohio; Mount St. Mary's Seminary and was ordained a Catholic priest for the Diocese of Youngstown. Charles had many assignments throughout the Diocese and was a teacher and counselor for many years at St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Louisville. He currently for the last 25 years was a supervisor and counselor for alcohol and substance abuse with The Counseling Center of Columbiana County. Charles had many passions throughout his life. He enjoyed going to the horse races, spending time with his family and was an avid sports fan especially watching his son coach at Akron Hoban. He leaves behind to hold on to his precious memories three children Sarah (Anthony J. "AJ") Natale of Warren, Andrew Sarachman and Jule Sarachman both of Canton and two beloved grand dogs Otto and Miles. He was preceded in death by his parents. Family and friends may pay their respects on Tuesday, August 25, 2015 from 9:00 am until 9:50 am at Ss Cyril & Methodius Church, Youngstown. Burial will take place at Calvary Cemetery, Youngstown. Arrangements have been entrusted to the professional care of the Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home, 4700 Market St., Boardman.
