Poland - There will be a private Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, January 5, 2015 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Basilica, Youngstown, with the Rev. Msgr. William Connell as celebrant, for Christopher John McDanel, 47, of Poland, who passed away on Saturday, December 27, 2014 at his residence from an apparent heart attack. Chris will always be remembered and loved by his family and friends for his smile and big personality. He was born May 3, 1967 in Youngstown, the son of Charles and Joanne (Emilo) McDanel and was a lifelong area resident. Chris was a 1985 graduate of Poland Seminary High School, and a 1994 graduate of Youngstown State University where he earned his Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration. He was employed for the last 3 years as an inspector at Pennex Aluminum Company. Chris was a member of Holy Family Church, Poland and Our Lady of Mount Carmel Basilica, Youngstown. Chris had a passion for dogs and was an avid sports fan. He enjoyed going fishing and spending time with his family especially his children. The holidays and vacations at the beach always left a special place in Chris heart. Chris leaves behind to hold on to his precious memories his parents Charles (Joanne) McDanel, his three children Ethan, Ellie and Aidan McDanel, a sister Diana (Jeffrey) Wrataric of Poland, two nephews Jake and Luke Wrataric and a niece Allison Wrataric. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents John (Jean) Emilo and paternal grandparents Charles and (Margaret) McDanel. Arrangements have been entrusted to the professional care of the Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home, 4700 Market St., Boardman. Burial will take place at Poland Riverside Cemetery, Poland.
