Obituary

Youngstown – Cynthia Elaine "Cindy" Maessner, 75, of Youngstown made her transition to her heavenly home on Saturday morning, April 27, 2024.

She was born February 7, 1949 in Madison, Wisconsin, the daughter of Elmer and Eleanor (Snyder) Evenson and moved to California where she graduated from Elsinore High School. She moved to the Youngstown area in 1972.

Cindy was a proud homemaker, always making her family her top priority. She also had a strong work ethic working various jobs throughout her career. Her latest job was with Blue Ribbon Cleaners.

She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary in Coitsville and used to volunteer at the Eastside Civics.

Cindy had many passions throughout her life. She enjoyed crocheting and watching TV especially The Game Show Station and Food Network. Cindy always enjoyed bowling where she bowled a perfect 600 set one time.

Cindy leaves behind to hold onto her memories her beloved husband of over 27 years Lawrence "Larry" Maessner whom she married June 27, 1996, her children Mary Ann (Edwin Jr.) O'Conner and Ronald Lambright both of Youngstown, three grandchildren Mathew (Kapri) Dahlgren, James O'Conner and William O'Conner and her three brothers Roger Evenson, Allen Evenson and Donald Evenson along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Besides her parents Cindy was preceded in death by her two grandsons Baby Daniel O'Conner and Bryan Dahlgren and a sister Dorothy Carver.

Family and friends may pay their respects on Friday, May 3, 2024 from 4:30 pm until 4:55 pm at Bible Baptist Temple, 230 Lettie Ave., Campbell, where a memorial service will be held at 5:00 pm with Pastor Matt Ferguson as celebrant.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the professional care of the Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home, 4221 Market St., Boardman

In lieu of flowers material contributions may be made to Cindy's family to help with expenses at this time.
