Boardman - There will be a Mass of Christian Burial held on Saturday, July 18, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Basilica, 343 Via Mt. Carmel, Youngstown, with the Very Rev. Msgr. Michael J. Cariglio Jr. as celebrant, preceded by a 9:10 a.m. prayer service held at the Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home, 4700 Market St., Boardman, for Daniel "Danny" Sebastiani, 69, of Boardman, who passed away Tuesday morning, July 14, 2015. Danny will always be remembered and loved by his family and friends for his generosity, his outgoing personality and his ability to touch many lives. He was born April 14, 1946 in Marana, L'Aquila, Italy, the son of Emilio and Agnese (DiGiansante) Sebastiani and came to the United States in 1958, residing in the Youngstown area. Dan was a 1966 graduate of East High School. Upon graduation, Dan followed his passion and founded Sebastiani Trucking Company in 1965. Over the years the company has grown and he was proud to be able to work alongside his children in the daily operations as it continues to grow. Dan was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Basilica and was honored as Italian Man of the Year through Ciao Productions in 2013. Dan was involved and extremely generous to numerous clubs and organizations throughout his life. He took great pride in helping others and his Italian Heritage. Dan enjoyed traveling, wine making, and socializing with family and friends whether over a cup of coffee or going out to dinner. He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren which were the apple of his eye and they will miss their Nonno very much. He leaves behind to hold onto his precious memories his beloved wife of over 45 years the former Beatrice Acierno whom he married on April 25, 1970, three children Emilio (Jeanne) Sebastiani of Canfield, Angelica (Eric) Folsom of Canfield and Dan (Rachel) Sebastiani of Boardman, two grandchildren Nicolas and Angelina Folsom, and a sister Joanne (Tony) Acierno. Besides his parents, Dan was preceded in death by a brother Loreto Sebastiani and a sister Domenica Simone. Family and friends may pay their respects on Friday, July 17, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home 4700 Market St., Boardman. Entombment will take place at Resurrection Cemetery, Austintown.
