Poland - There will be a Divine Liturgy of Christian Burial held on Friday, November 11, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Maron Church, 1555 S. Meridian, Rd., Youngstown, with Chorbishop Michael Kail officiating for David Joseph Basile, 18, of Poland, who was carried by angel's wings to his heavenly home, Monday evening, November 7, 2011. David will always be remembered and loved by his family and friends for his sense of humor, the happiness and inspiration he brought to all their lives. He was truly a gift from God as was their guardian angel. He was born October 27, 1993 in Youngstown, the son of David L. and Marie (Sleiman) Basile, and was a lifelong area resident. David was a student at Leonard Kirtz School in Austintown, and was a member of St. Maron Church. He enjoyed going to school, being outdoors, going on vacations, and watching movies, but he especially loved his family, friends, teachers, classmates and animals. He leaves behind to cherish his memories his parents David L. (Marie) Basile of Poland, four sisters Ashley Basile (FiancAC. Aaron Oeken) of Cleveland, Samantha Basile of Poland, Kim (Jason) Fyock of Canfield, and Katrina (Richard) DiCintio of Simpsonville, South Carolina, a niece Alannah DiCintio, two nephews Derek DiCintio and Joseph Fyock, his paternal grandmother Mary DeLisio, Godparents Rita (Sami) Rafidi, and eight aunts and uncles Awane (Edward) Warchol, Tanios (Mona) Sleiman, Sleiman (Argent) Sleiman, Douglas DeLisio, Donald DeLisio, Kathy DeLisio, Shirley (Chuck) Persinger and Karen DeLisio. David was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Youseff (Josephine) Sleiman and an aunt Marie Sleiman. Friends may call on Thursday, November 10, 2011 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. where the Prayers of Incense Prayer Service will be held at 6:45 p.m., and again on Friday November 11, 2011 from 9:00 a.m. until 9:50 a.m. all at St. Maron Church, 1555 S. Meridian Rd., Youngstown. Arrangements have been entrusted to the professional care of the Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home, 4700 Market St., Boardman. Burial will take place at Resurrection Cemetery, Austintown. Material contributions may be made in David's name to St. Maron Education Foundation, 1555 S. Meridian Rd., Youngstown, Ohio 44511.
