Obituary

Delores M. (Dee) Pipino, 83, of Poland, died Friday afternoon, October 17, 2014 surrounded by her family. Her courage and strength throughout her 3 year battle with cancer will always be an inspiration to those who knew her. She will be remembered for her elegant style and outstanding devotion to her family, especially her beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren. They and their accomplishments were her greatest source of pride and favorite topic of conversation. Dee was born in Niles, Ohio on October 31, 1930 to Joseph and Theresa Christopher. After graduating from Niles McKinley High School in 1947, she attended Youngstown Business College and worked as a legal secretary until her marriage to Donald Pipino in 1955. She was a lifelong area resident and longtime member of Holy Family Parish and Fonderlac Country Club. Her life was devoted to her home and family. Dee was an excellent cook and baker. She also took sewing lessons for years and studied interior design, which she loved. She was in the process of building a new home when she passed away. She also enjoyed golfing and was an avid reader who always had an appetite for learning. Dee will be deeply missed and her memory cherished by her children Mary Pipino, Chris (Ed) Muransky, Sam (Loraine) Pipino, and Joe (Beth) Pipino as well as grandchildren: Eddie, Deloran and Donielle Muransky, Candace (Corey) Shaner and Donald J. Pipino, Sammy and Grayson Pipino and great grandchildren Luca and Dane Shaner. She also will be deeply missed by brother in law James "Doc" (Patricia) Pipino and many beloved nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Donald and four sisters, Anne Stanley, Mary Perrone, Clara Zobitz and Janet Flasck as well as a brother, Anthony "Sonny" Christopher. Friends may call Monday, October 20, 2014 from 9:30 am until 11:20 am at Holy Family Parish, 2729 Center Rd., Poland. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial held at 11:30 am, following the calling hours with Rev. Msgr William Connell officiating, and a private interment will take place at Riverside Cemetery in Poland. Arrangements have been entrusted to the professional care of the Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home, 4700 Market St., Boardman.
