Hubbard - Dominick A. Ricciardulli, 93, of Hubbard, who passed away peacefully with family by his side on Tuesday evening, May 15, 2012 due to complications from pulmonary disease. Dominick was born March 29, 1919 in New York, New York, a son of Nicola and Angelina (Vitarella) Ricciardulli. He was a 1939 graduate of Scienceville High School and worked at A & P and Commercial Shearing. Dominick served his country as a Corporal in the United States 5th. Army from 1942 until 1945, with tours in North Africa and Italy. During his World War II campaign, he was awarded the EAMA Theater Service Medal with 3 battle Stars, the Victory Medal and the Good Conduct Medal after 22 months of combat in Cassino, Anzio and Bologna. Dominick retired in 1982 as a bus driver for Western Reserve Transit Authority after 35 years of service. He was vice president of Local Unit 272 Amalgamated Transit Union for eight years. Dominick was an avid fan of all sports and was an excellent hunter especially of small game. He leaves to cherish his memory, his caring companion Lou Neuman with whom he made his home, a daughter Donna of Pittsburgh, Pa, and two sisters Ann Rogers of Las Vegas, and Jenny Gigli of New Jersey, and many loving nieces and nephews, plus many fine friends especially Richard Fadell and Mark Joseph. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter Deanna who passed away in 1968, one brother James Ricciardulli, and two sisters Antoinette Mulidore and Josie Manning. Friends may call on Friday, May 18, 2012 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home, 4700 Market St., Boardman. In celebration of Dominick's life a Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, May 19, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Patrick Church, Hubbard, preceded by a 9:00 a.m. prayer service held at the Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home, 4700 Market St., Boardman. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in Dominick's name to Angels for Animals, 4750 W. South Range Rd., Canfield, Ohio 44406.
