Boardman - There will be a Mass of Christian Burial held on Monday, January 30, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Charles Church, Boardman, with Rev. Philip Rogers officiating, for Edith A. Mosco, 82, of Boardman, who passed away on Wednesday evening, January 25, 2012 with her loving family by her side. Edith will always be remembered and loved by her family and friends. She was born February 21, 1929 in Youngstown, the daughter of Thomas and Benilda (Tamburino) Pavone and was a lifelong area resident. Edith was employed at Almart and Consolidated Stores as head cashier and later worked at Giannios Candy Company along with being a homemaker. She was a graduate of East High School and a member of St. Charles Church. Edith enjoyed playing cards and BINGO, bowling, watching her grandchildren's sporting events, but she especially loved cooking Sunday dinners and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her husband of 57 years Angelo "Gobby" Mosco whom she married in 1948 died September 19, 2005. She leaves behind to hold on to her precious memories her four children Patti (Artie) Bell of Austin, Texas, Louis Mosco of Columbus, Ann (Greg) Giannios with whom she made her home, and Angelo Mosco of Columbus, four grandchildren Greg and Krista Giannios, Joy (Domenic) Alfieri and Nicholas D'Altorio, five great grandchildren Carmella, Carmine, Giulliana and Marcello Alfieri and Kiera Angela D'Altorio, a brother Pat Pavone of Texas, and a sister Philameno Aquino of Washington D.C.. Besides her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a daughter Angela D'Altorio, a brother Sam Zappi, and two sisters Josephine Sylvester and Mary Lucurell. Friends may call on Sunday, January 29, 2012 from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home, 4700 Market St., Boardman, and again on Monday, January 30, 2012 from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. at St. Charles Church, Boardman. In lieu of flowers material contributions may be made in Edith's name to Hospice House, 9803 Sharrott Rd., Poland, Ohio, 44514.
