Boardman - There will be a Mass of Christian Burial held on Monday, November 16, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Basilica, 343 Via Mt. Carmel, Youngstown, with the Very Rev. Msgr. Michael J. Cariglio Jr. as celebrant, preceded by a 9:10 a.m. prayer service held at the Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home, 4700 Market St., Boardman, for Edwin J. Muccillo, 84, of Boardman, who passed away Thursday morning, November 12, 2015. Edwin was born on January 18, 1931 in Smokey Hollow on the eastside of Youngstown and was the son of Vincenzo and Gina (Santangelo) Muccillo. Edwin was a 1949 graduate of South High School and a 1953 graduate of Youngstown State University earning an Electrical Engineering Degree. After college, he worked for Youngstown Sheet and Tube Co and LTV Steel for 40 years retiring in 1993. He worked in supervisor positions and was Superintendent of the Campbell works Seamless Mill complex. After the mills were idled, he was Asset Manager his last five years of work. He was a member of the American Iron and Steel Engineering Society and served as District and National Director. He loved golf and Mill Creek Golf Course and played until his eye sight was impaired in 1995. He loved math and anything related to it. He also loved to travel and would spend winters in Florida and Arizona after he retired. He was a member of Our Lady of Mt Carmel Basilica his entire life. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, the former Rosemary Capuzello, whom he married on January 9, 1965; three children, Gina (Tim) Dixon of Salem, Lisa (William) Dallas of Medina, and Ed (Gretchen) Muccillo of Gilbert Arizona; four grandchildren, Michael, Scott, Katie Dallas and Alyssa Muccillo; sister, Betty Webb of Akron. He will be greatly missed by all. Friends and family will be received Sunday, November 15, 2015 from 3:00 pm until 6:00 pm at Rossi &Santucci Funeral Home, 4700 Market St., Boardman.
