"Always Together " BOARDMAN - There will be a Divine Liturgy of Christian Burial on Friday, Sept. 11, 2015, at 10 a.m. at St. Maron Church, 1555 S. Meridian Road, Youngstown, with Chorbishop Michael Kail officiating, for Elizabeth George, 86, who passed away Monday morning, Sept. 7, 2015, with her loving family by her side. Elizabeth was born May 19, 1929, in Wellsville, the daughter of John and Mary Michael Thomas Abdalla. She graduated from Wellsville High School and moved to the Youngstown area in the early 50s. She was a homemaker and worked at Sparkle Markets in the deli department for many years until retiring. She was a longtime member of St. Maron Church and Woman's Sodality, women's bowling league and card clubs. Her husband, Ferris Anthony "Parky" George, whom she married Aug. 28, 1954, died Sept., 1, 1990, after celebrating 36 years of marriage. She leaves behind to hold onto her precious memories, three sons, Fred George of Canfield, Albert (Tabby) George of Cortland and Deacon William (Lori) George of Boardman; a daughter, Mary Beth (Neil) Taylor of Poland; and nine grandchildren, Louis Canada, Carolyn, Joseph, Cathy, Abigayle, Blaise, Danielle, Rachel and David George. Besides her parents and husband, Elizabeth was preceded in death by her five brothers, Assif, Mounir, Carmen and Albert Abdalla and Charles Thomas. Family and friends may pay their respects on Thursday, Sept. 10, 2015, from 4 to 8 p.m., at the Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home, 4700 Market St., where the Prayers of Incense prayer service will take place at 7:30 p.m. Friends and family may also pay respects on Friday, Sept. 11, 2015, from 9 to 9:50 a.m., at St. Maron Church Any monetary donations can be made in Elizabeth's memory to, St. Maron Church, 1555 S. Meridian Road, Youngstown, OH 44511. Burial will take place at the Resurrection Cemetery in Austintown.
