Youngstown - There will be a Divine Liturgy of Christian Burial held on Saturday, November 26, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Maron Church, 1555 S. Meridian, Rd., Youngstown, with Chorbishop Michael Kail officiating for Elizabeth T. (Koury) Hanna, 89, of Youngstown, who passed away on Tuesday evening, November 22, 2011. Elizabeth will always be remembered and loved by her family and friends. She was born May 1, 1922 in Youngstown the daughter of John and Busma (Abbas) Koury and was a lifelong area resident. Elizabeth was employed in the office of Lederer Terminal and then as a teacher's aid at South High School along with being a homemaker. She was a graduate of East High School, and a member of St. Maron Church and its St. Tobias Society. Her husband Henry Hanna Sr. whom she married on July 30, 1942 died January 27, 1976. She leaves behind to hold on to her memories five children Joseph (Nancy) Hanna of Boardman, Henry Jr. (Janice) Hanna of Michigan, Victor (Lynn) Hanna of Athens, Sara (Anthony) Rochon of Florida, and Nina Hanna with whom she made her home, seven grandchildren, two great grandchildren, her sisters Margaret George of Canfield and Julia Simon of Liberty, and a brother Simon Koury of Boardman. Besides her parents and husband she was preceded in death by two brothers Victor and Joseph Koury, and four sisters Adele Karam, Mary, Victoria, and Lourde Koury. Friends may call at the church on Saturday, November 26, 2011 from 9:00am until 10:45am at St. Maron Church, 1555 S. Meridian Rd., Youngstown. Arrangements have been entrusted to the professional care of the Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home, 4700 Market St., Boardman. Burial will take place at Calvary Cemetery, Youngstown.
