COLUMBIANA - Elsie Canale, 85 There will be a Mass of Christian Burial held on Friday, Oct. 7, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Michael Church for Elsie Canale, 85 who passed away Sunday afternoon at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Youngstown. Elsie was born November 9, 1925 in Youngstown a daughter of Angelo and Lena Giannini and was a Youngstown resident most of her life. She graduated from East High School with the Class of 1943. She was a member of the East High Reunion Committee, served as Eucharistic Minister at St. Michael's Church in Canfield. Elsie was an avid reader of books and enjoyed doing crossword puzzles. She was huge New York Yankees fan who attended many games in New York and also Pittsburgh Stealers fan. She will be remembered and loved by her family and friends. Especially by her son; Larry (Ann) Canale of Columbiana; grandchildren, Chris (Lissa) Canale and Laura Canale both of Columbiana ; great grandchild, Dominic; step-great grandchildren, Hallie and Braylin; a brother Carmine Giannini and many nieces and nephews. She also leaves her two beautiful poodles, Cassie and Sophia. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony Canale, her most beautiful and beloved daughter, Agnes; her two brothers, Tony Giannini, Matt Giannini; two sisters, Dale Rulli and Josephine Guglucello. Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home, 4700 Market St., Boardman.
