Youngstown - There will be a funeral service held on Thursday, July 28, 2011 at Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home, 4700 Market St., Boardman, at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Tom Fortini officiating, for Elva A. White, 72, of Youngstown, who peacefully passed away after a long illness on Saturday afternoon, July 23, 2011 at her residence with her loving husband by her side. Elva will always be remembered and loved by her family and friends for her kindness, big heart and friendliness. She was born January 31, 1939 in Youngstown, the daughter of Nicholas and Velva (Linder) Cappiello and was a lifelong area resident. Elva retired in 2008 after working for over 30 years at St. Elizabeth Medical Center along with being a homemaker. She attended East High School and graduated from The Rayen High School. Elva was a member of the former Central Christian Church, now the New Beginning Church in Youngstown. Elva enjoyed playing cards, doing hair, making ceramics, and crocheting. She was an excellent cook and baker especially making all her famous Italian pastas and treats along with her being a wonderful cake decorator. She leaves behind to hold on to her memory her husband of over 40 years Burt White whom she married November 20, 1971, five daughters Teresa "Tess" (Norm) Gallagher of Austintown, Elizabeth (Frank) Jenkins of Youngstown, Kimberly (Rick) Grope of Austintown, Donna (Bill) Frazier of Columbiana, and Brenda (Bret) Waterman of Riverside, California, 16 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, three sisters Rosalie (Dennis) Palazzo of Poland, Barbara and Christina Cappiello, three brothers Nicholas Cappiello of Poland, Rocco (Denise) Cappiello of Parkridge, Illinois, and Richard (Margaret) Cappiello of New Castle, Pennsylvania, a beloved cousin aunt June Minnini of Deerfield, Illinois, 9 nieces and nephews and 5 great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. Friends may call on Wednesday, July 27, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and again Thursday, July 28, 2011 from 10:30 a.m. until 10:50 a.m. all at the Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home, 4700 Market St., Boardman.
