Boardman – Emma Fischer, 72, of Boardman, peacefully passed away on Thursday, August 17, 2017 with her loving family by her side.

She was born February 22, 1945 in Germany, the daughter of Robert and Eugenia (Bobenko) Fischer and came to the United States in 1952.

Emma was a heartfelt supporter for the NFStrong organization. A Neurofibromatosis Network to provide awareness, treatment and a cure. During a 5K walk in Boardman Park, Emma said, "I wish that no child will ever suffer with Neurofibromatosis and hope that my life would be an opportunity to create awareness. I love my family and friends who have helped me through these challenging times."

Emma leaves behind to hold onto her precious memories her siblings, Edward Fischer of Sharon, Emilie (Dominic) Gangale with whom she made her home since she was 18. Rudolph (Susan) Fischer of  Oklahoma and Ralph (Evelyn) Fischer of North Carolina along with many nieces, nephews and friends.

Besides her parents, Emma was preceded in death by a sister Katherine Petrovich.

There were private services held with burial at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Cemetery, Sharon.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the professional care of the Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home, 4221 Market St., Boardman (new location).
