On Thursday December 10th, 2015 Genevieve "Pudgie" Yazbek passed away peacefully with her family by her side at Saint Elizabeth's Hospital. Genevieve "Pudgie" Yazbek was born on February 20, 1926 in Jersey City, NJ to John Daboul and Mamie Haralla Daboul. She graduated from St. Michael High School in Jersey City and attended Fordham University. Prior to her marriage, she worked at Kraft Foods in Jersey City and later at Sparkle Market, various restaurants, and Cardinal Mooney in Youngstown. She worked tirelessly for St. Maron Church and St. Patrick School and Church in Youngstown. She belonged to the Altar Guilds and various committees of both churches as well as teaching CCD at St. Maron's for many years. She was a member of St. Maron's Church and it's St. Tobias Society. She married Rizzie D. Yazbek on November 11, 1947 at St. Peter's Church in Jersey City. She leaves seven children; Amelia M. and Marian, with whom she lived, Joseph (Ginny), Lloyd (Linda), Madeline (David) Clarke, David (Toni), and Sarah (Joe Marsco). She leaves 10 grandchildren; Dominic (Nikki), Mamie, Amanda (Jay Foster), Jennifer (Tyler) Morton, Sarah Clarke, Elizabeth Yazbek, George Clarke, Rebecca Clarke, Francesca and Alexandra Yazbek. She also leaves 4 great grandchildren; JJ and Jaxtin Sudetic, Dominic Yazbek, Alivia Morton with a 5th due in June 2016, all of whom she called her "honey bunnies." She was predeceased by her parents, husband Rizzie, brother Robert Daboul, sister Evelyn Daboul, honorary sisters Liz George and Joan Daboul Mullen and honorary brother Raymond Coury. Family and friends may pay their respects on Sunday, December 13, 2014 from 3: 00 pm until 7:00 pm. at the Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home, 4700 Market St., Boardman, where the Prayers of Incense Prayer Service will take place at 6:30 p.m. Friends and family may also pay respects on Monday, December 14, 2015, from 9 to 9:50 a.m., at St. Maron Church. There will be a Divine Liturgy of Christian Burial on Monday, December 14, 2015, at 10 a.m. at St. Maron Church, 1555 S. Meridian Road, Youngstown, with Chorbishop Michael Kail and the Very Rev. Msgr. Anthony Spinosa presiding. It is requested that material contributions be made in Genevieve's name to St. Maron Church, 1555 S. Meridian Road, Youngstown, Ohio 44511 or the Antonine Sisters, 2675 N. Lipkey Rd., North Jackson, Ohio 44451. Burial will take place at the Calvary Cemetery, Youngstown.
