Austintown - George L. Ranklin, 75, of Austintown, passed away peacefully on May 4, 2025.
George was born on October 1, 1949 in Youngstown, the son of the late George and Gertrude (Gollner) Ranklin.
George attended Wilson High School. He was a hardworking, loving father and grandfather and a lifelong Pittsburgh Steelers fan. He enjoyed camping, gardening, hiking, fishing and card and board games with family. Spending quality time with his family was above all else.
He leaves behind one brother William (Julie) Ranklin of Ellsworth, five children Mike Ranklin of Struthers, Gina Kearns of Struthers, Brian (Lisa) Ranklin of Riverview, Florida, Jillian Hunter of Warren, Kerrianne (Corey) Curry of Hartville. Five grandchildren Aimee, Ciara, Gemma, Luke, and Rosalyn. He also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews.
George is processed in death by his wife of 19 years, Linda Ranklin, two sisters Shirley Holecko and Delores Schrum and his Father-in-Law Glenn F. Hunter.
Family and friends may pay their respects on Friday, May 9, 2025 from 10:00 am until 11:20 am at the Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home, 4221 Market St., Boardman where a memorial service will follow at 11:30 am.
The family would like to thank the staff at Humility House, Assumption Village, and Harmony Hospice for their compassionate care.
