Warren - There will be a Memorial Mass held on Tuesday, February 1, 2011 at 12:00 p.m. at St. Mary Church, 232 Seneca St., Warren, with Rev. Bernard Schmalzried officiating for Helen Orlando George, 94, of Warren, who passed away on Sunday afternoon, January 23, 2011 at Community Skilled Nursing Facility. Helen will always be remembered and loved by her family and friends. She was born August 19, 1916 in Brooklyn, New York, the daughter of Maurice and Mary (Bertucci) Orlando. Helen was a graduate of Warren G. Harding High School and Kent State University. She was active in many community organizations and worked as an insurance agent and accountant. Helen loved reading, golfing, and playing Bridge. Her husband of over 27 years Fred F. George whom she married November 26, 1942 died May 17, 1970. She leaves behind a sister Flora Natale of Warren, a niece, two nephews and many great nieces, great nephews, and friends. Besides her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a brother Roger Orlando, and four sisters Rose O. Hughes, Violet Orlando, Anita Calderone, and Grace Toro. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements have been entrusted to the professional care of the Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home, 4700 Market St., Boardman. Burial took place at All Souls Cemetery.
