AUSTINTOWN - There will be a Mass of Christian Burial held on Monday, December 12, 2011 at 10:00 am with the Very Rev. Msgr. Michael J. Cariglio Jr. officiating, for Henry Constantino, 90, who passed away Saturday morning at Shepherd of the Valley in Boardman. Henry will always be remembered and loved by his family and friends. He was born November 21, 1921, in Youngstown, the son of Emedio and Antonetta Constantino. Henry worked for 30 years as a painter at General Fireproofing Co., and for 15 years for the U.S. Postal Service as a letter carrier and custodian. He served in the Pacific Theatre in World War II from 1942 to 1945 as a machine gun sergeant in the 21st Infantry Regiment of the 24th Division of the Army. Henry received a Purple Heart and other medals for his military service. He was also a member of the Bagnolesi Italian Men's Club of Youngstown. Henry will be greatly missed by his wife of 63 years, Eda (Donofrio); two daughters, Karen (Robert) Cuddy and Sharon (John) Cycyk; son, Darren (Kay); six grandchildren, Jason Cuddy, Jessica (Justin) Hurdley, John and Anthony Cycyk, Ben and Peter Reese; and great grandchild, Jack Hurdley. Besides his parents Henry was preceded in death by his brothers Mario and Arthur, and his sister Laura Leone.
