Obituary

Poland - There will be a Mass of Christian Burial held on Saturday, April 6, 2013 at 9:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Youngstown, with the Very Rev. Msgr. Michael J. Cariglio Jr. officiating, preceded by an 8:45 a.m. prayer service held at the Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home, 4700 Market St., Boardman, for Ida DiTosto, 87, of Poland, who was carried off by angels to her Heavenly home Thursday morning, April 4, 2013 with her loving family by her side. Ida will always be remembered for being such a generous and loving mother and grandmother who always put everyone else first. She was born March 4, 1926 in Bagnoli del Trigno, Italy the daughter of Felice and Anna (Filacchione) Massullo and moved to America in 1948 after marrying her beloved sweetheart Gennaro (John) DiTosto Jr. Ida was a proud homemaker and lived on a farm in North Lima for over 25 years. She was a member of The Bagnolese Ladies Club, Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Youngstown, the Mothers of Crucifix Society and the Senior Citizens at the church. Her husband Gennaro (John) DiTosto Jr. whom she married May 22, 1948 died April 16, 1979. She leaves behind to hold on to her precious memories a daughter Rosemary (Amico) Colaizzi of Poland, two grandchildren Anthony and Gianni and a brother Alfredo (Matilda) Massullo of British Columbia Besides her parents and husband Ida was preceded in death by a son John Anthony DiTosto and a brother Paolo Massullo. Friends may call on Friday, April 5, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home, 4700 Market St., Boardman, where the Mothers of Crucifix Society will hold a prayer service at 4:45 p.m. Burial will take place at Calvary Cemetery, Youngstown.
