Boardman - There will be a Mass of Christian Burial held at Sts. Peter and Paul Croatian Catholic Church, 421 Covington Street, Youngstown, on Wednesday, July 6, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. with the Rev. Msgr. John Zuraw officiating, preceded by a 9:15 a.m. prayer service held at the Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home, 4700 Market St., Boardman for Ignatius S."Iggy" Kesic, 80, of Tanglewood Drive, who died unexpectedly and peacefully in his sleep at home Friday morning. "Iggy" will always be remembered and loved by his family and friends. Mr. Kesic was born July 7, 1930 in Youngstown, the youngest child of Ignatius and Agatha (Naglic) Kesic. He was a graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School. Along with his brothers Tom and John, he started and operated Kesic Bros. Flooring Company in 1948 and Land Company in 1967. They remained together in business for over fifty years. He was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Youngstown and served on multiple committees as councilman. He was a member of the Croatian Fraternal Union Lodge #66. He leaves his wife Ruby, whom he married October 2, 1954, of Boardman; sons David(Patricia) and Mark(Kate) of Hudson, OH; Daughters Diane of Chicago and Nancy(Martin) Hood of St. Louis; and nine grandchildren: Grace and Mary Kate Kesic; Alexandra and Maria Kesic; and Matthew, Madeleine, Jack, Joseph, and Elizabeth Hood. He also leaves behind a brother Thomas of Poland and sisters Carol Garea of Youngstown and Zora Kosanyar of Boardman. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by brothers Stephen, George and John, and sisters Mary and Barbara. Family and friends may call on Tuesday, July 5, 2011 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home, 4700 Market Street in Boardman. Burial will take place at Calvary Cemetery, Youngstown. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 412 Covington Street, Youngstown, Ohio 44510.
