Obituary

Youngstown - There will be a funeral service held on Monday, June 10, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Rush Church, Canfield, for Irene T. Consiglio, 73, of Youngstown, who was carried off by angels to her Heavenly home Thursday evening, June 6, 2013 with her loving family by her side. Irene will always be remembered and loved by her family and friends. She was born May 16, 1940 in Youngstown, the daughter of Vito and Sue (Pagley) DiTommaso and was a lifelong area resident. Irene was a proud homemaker along with being an excellent cook and baker of great Italian dishes. She always put her family first and they were the center of her life along with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Nothing made Irene happier than spending time and making memories with her children and grandchildren. She was a graduate of South High School. Irene was a former member of Trinity Fellowship Church where she was extremely active and volunteered her time and talents especially on the woman's weekend and is now a current member of the Rush Church. She also was active in the Cursillo Movement in the area. Her husband Joseph A. Consiglio whom she married August 16, 1957 died February 28, 1996. She leaves behind to hold on to her precious memories her children Joe (Joan) Consiglio of Struthers, Teri (Randy) First of Youngstown, Pete (Desiree Nelson) Consiglio of Struthers, Kelley (Tony) Mazzocco of Struthers and Vito (Marcella) Consiglio of Boardman, 13 grandchildren, a great grandson, a brother Steve (Diana) DiTommaso and a sister Vita (Pete) Mraulak. Besides her parents and husband Irene, was preceded in death by a son Michael Consiglio, and two sisters Mary Carfangia and Ann Serafino. Friends may call on Sunday, June 9, 2013 from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home, 4700 Market St., Boardman, and again on Monday morning from 10:00 a.m. until 10:50 a.m. at the Rush Church, Canfield. Burial will take place at St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Coitsville.
