Boardman - There will be a Mass of Christian Burial held on Tuesday, September 27, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Dominic Church, preceded by a 9:30 a.m. prayer service held at the Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home, 4700 Market St., Boardman, for James S. "Jim" Allan, 74, of Boardman, who peacefully passed away on Friday afternoon, September 23, 2011. Jim will always be remembered and loved by his family and friends. He was born July 25, 1937 in Youngstown the son William and Florence (Rickel) Allan and was a lifelong area resident. Jim was a lifelong member of St. Dominic Church and was a 1955 graduate of South High School where he played football as a tackle and made the all city team. He retired in 1996 from Aerolite Extrusion Company after working for over 30 years in die maintance. Jim was a member of the NRA and had a passion for the outdoors where he loved fishing, hunting, boating, skiing along with gardening. He was an avid sports fan especially for Cleveland Browns football games. He leaves behind to hold on to his memories his beloved wife of over 50 years the former Mary Theresa Reape whom he married on February 11, 1961, two sons William S. (Jennifer) Allan of Ashtabula and Michael (Lori) Allan of Boardman, and four grandchildren Katie, Samantha, Rachel, and Sean Allan. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a sister Pauline Hutch. Friends may call on Monday, September 26, 2011 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home, 4700 Market St., Boardman.
