Texas - There will be a memorial service held on October 27, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Nativity Lutheran Church, Weeki Wachee, Florida for Jean Mason, 81, of Texas, formerly long time resident of Boardman, died in Silverado Alzheimer Senior Living, Texas, on Thursday, September 27, 2012. Jean will always be remembered and loved by her family and friends for being a mom and homemaker but also a well known florist. She was born January 28, 1931 in Listie, Pennsylvania the daughter of Robert and Effie Ling. Jean was owner and operator of Country Square Flower Shop in Poland for many years. She and her husband retired to Brooksville, Florida in 1998. She enjoyed cross stitching, reading, gardening in her yard and floral designing, but she had a love and passion for dogs. Her husband Richard A. Mason whom she married December 25, 1950 died March 9, 2002. She leaves behind to hold on to her precious memories her children Robert (Connie) Mason of Houston, Texas, Mary ( Christopher) Johnson of Canfield, Thomas (Jane) Mason of Stow Vermont, Sally (Steven) Levi of Atlanta, Georgia, and James (Kathy) Mason of Dallas, Texas, ten grandchildren Michele Johnson, Dana (Kristin) Mason, Melissa (Bob) Johnson-Beadle, Jordan (Paige), James, Jonathan, Miles, Joel, Justin, and Jack Mason and a great grandson MaCarthy Mason. She was preceded in death by her parents. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home, 4700 Market St., Boardman in assistance with this tribute. Entombment of Jean's Urn will take place in the Culiberium in courtyard at the church immediately following the service.
