Niles - There will be a Memorial Mass of Christian Burial held on Saturday, July 23, 2016 at 10:00 am at St. Stephen Church, 129 W. Park Ave., with Father James Korda officiating, for Joan R. Hall, 84, of Niles, who passed away peacefully early Wednesday morning, June 22, 2016 after a courageous battle with cancer. Joan will always be remembered and loved by her family and friends. She always knew what she wanted and lived life to the fullest. Joan was born February 12, 1932 in North Jackson, the daughter of Cecil and Flora (Ambrose) Hall and was a lifelong area resident. She was a graduate of St. Mary High School, Warren, and then continued on with her education earning her RN Degree from St. Elizabeth School of Nursing. Joan was employed from 1953 until her retirement in 1997 as a Registered Nurse at Trumbull Memorial Hospital. She was a member of St. Stephen Church, the Trumbull Memorial Retirees Club and the Catholic Woman's Club. Joan had many passions throughout her life. She enjoyed traveling, reading, playing cards and socializing with family and friends. Joan leaves behind to hold onto her memories a sister-in-law Alice Hall, her nieces and nephews, John (Debbie) Hall of Austintown, Mary (Fred) Esenwein of Harrisnurg, North Carolina, Steve (Mimi) Hall of Escondido, California, Rebecca (Dean) Erford of Caryville, Kentucky, Pete (Jan) Hall of Columbus, Linda (Dennis) Humphreys of Houston, Texas, and Francis Hall of Columbus, along with fifteen great nieces and nephews, two great-great nieces and two great-great nephews. Besides her parents Joan was preceded in death by three brothers an infant brother Francis, John Hall and Father James Hall Family and friends may pay their respects on Saturday, July 23, 2016 from 9:00 am until 9:55 am at St. Stephen Church, 129 W. Park Ave. Niles. On Behalf of Joan's family, they would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to the entire staff of the Hope Center in Howland, for all their care and compassion shown through this difficult time.
