Boardman - There will be a Memorial Service held on Saturday, April 13, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John's Episcopal Church, 323 Wick Ave., Youngstown, with Rev. Jeff Baker officiating for Joan C. (Ronyak) Dikun, 53, of Boardman, who passed away on March 12, 2013. Joan will always be remembered and loved by her family and friends for her big unforgettable smile and infectious laugh that always brought so much joy to everyone. She was born February 29, 1960 in Youngstown, the daughter of George and Florence (Soppelsa) Ronyak and was a lifelong area resident. Joan was a 1978 graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School and received her Bachelor's Degree in Communications in 1982 from The Ohio State University. She was employed for over 12 years as an Administrative Assistant with Latrobe Steel Company. Joan was an active member of St. John's Episcopal Church. She enjoyed volunteering her time in numerous activities for the poor especially with the food pantry at the church, the Youngstown Play House and with the Guillain-Barre Syndrome Foundation. Joan enjoyed socializing with friends and family along with face booking all her nieces and nephews. She also had a very soft spot in her heart for animals, especially her cats. She leaves behind to hold on to her precious memories her brothers and sisters Donald F. (Marie) Ronyak of Boardman, Mark (Jeanne) Ronyak of Campbell, RoseAnn Beck of Pulaski, Pennsylvania, Joseph Thomas "Tom" (Lindy) Ronyak of Avon, Ohio, and Kay (Mark) Eckman of Chesterland, Ohio along with numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews. Joan was preceded in death by her parents. Friends may call on Saturday, April 13, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. until 10:55 a.m. at St. John's Episcopal Church, 323 Wick Ave., Youngstown. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St John's Food Pantry. Arrangements have been entrusted to the professional care of the Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home, 4700 Market St., Boardman.
