Edinburg, Pa - Joseph N. "Joe" Lupo Jr., 49, of Edinburg Pa, formerly of Youngstown, passed away early Thursday morning May 16, 2013. He was born May 27, 1963 in Youngstown, the son of Joseph N. Sr. and Florence (Brown) Lupo. Joe was a 1981 graduate of Mohawk High School and then pursued his passion in law enforcement by graduating from the Police Academy. He was first employed for 10 years as a manager of World Wide Auto Parts and then was a Mahoning County Deputy Sheriff for over 13 years until his retirement in 2005. Joe was a member of St. Dominic Church and the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #141. He enjoyed being in the sun, traveling especially to Florida, riding his motorcycle, and was a huge Pittsburgh Steelers fan. Joe loved his daughters very much, and all the time they spent together along with his pet exotic birds. He leaves behind his wife the former Caroline Morell whom he married August 19, 2006, three daughters Alyssa Lupo (Finance Jason Butcher), Nicole Lupo and Maria Lupo all of Boardman, two step daughters Angela (Perry) Alexandrides, of Boardman and Maria Moschella of Poland, his mother Florence Lupo of Edinburg, and a sister Jane (Robert) Metz of Poland. He was preceded in death by his father Joseph N. Lupo Sr. Friends may call on Monday, May 20, 2013 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home, 4700 Market St., Boardman. There will be a procession to Calvary Cemetery Chapel for the Committal Prayer Service following calling hours from the funeral home. Burial will take place at Calvary Cemetery, Youngstown.
