Boardman - There will be a Mass of Christian Burial held on Saturday, March 15, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Christ Our Savior Parish, St. Nicholas Church, Struthers, preceded by a 9:00 a.m. prayer service held at the Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home, 4700 Market St., Boardman, for Joseph Anthony "JoJo" Pignatelli, 78, of Boardman, who passed away Tuesday morning, March 11, 2014 with his loving family by his side. JoJo will always be remembered and loved by his family and friends for always making his family his biggest priority, his giving personality and his willingness to always give a hand to someone in need. He was born January 14, 1936 on the East Side of Youngstown, the son of John and Lucia (Crutelli) Pignatelli and was a lifelong area resident. JoJo was employed for 33 years with the Teamsters Local 377 and retired as Shop Stewart with City Asphalt and Paving Company in 2003. He was a member of Christ Our Savior Parish, St. Nicholas Church, where he worked the festival and was chairman for many years of the black jack and card games. JoJo was an avid sports fan, always rooting on his favorite team the Cleveland Browns and was extremely proud of his Italian Heritage. He enjoyed going to Casino's, socializing with his friends and had a passion for the game of golf. He leaves behind to hold on to his precious memories his beloved wife of over 49 years the former Elizabeth "Betty" Hoza whom he married on June 13, 1963, two sons Joseph John (Sherry) Pignatelli and Anthony Stefan Pignatelli both of Boardman, three grandchildren Jessica Lynn, Gianna and Gabriella Pignatelli, a brother Angelo (Lillian) Pignatelli and a sister Rose Flask. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Frank Pignatelli and a sister Angela Pignatelli. Friends may call on Friday, March 14, 2014 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home 4700 Market St., Boardman.
