Obituary

Youngstown - There will be a Memorial Divine Liturgy held on Sunday, February 28, 2016 at 8:30 am at St. Maron Church, 1555 S. Meridian Rd., Youngstown, with Chorbishop Michael Kail officiating for the repose of the soul of Julie A. (Manser) Sharrow, 60 of Youngstown, who passed away Saturday evening, February 20, 2016, with her loving family by her side. Julie will always be remembered and loved by her family and friends for her humble and caring personality, the way she always put others before herself and so many other beautiful qualities. She was born December 24, 1955 in Youngstown, the daughter of Anthony "Tom" and Angelica "Ann" (Naberezny) Manser and was a lifelong area resident. Julie was a 1973 graduate of Liberty High School and then earned her Bachelor Degree in Computer Information Systems and then her Master's Degree in Higher Education Counseling both from Youngstown State University. Julie spent most of her career in Workforce Development Continuing Education at Youngstown State University and Kent State University Trumbull Branch. She most recently was employed at the Antonine Village Senior Living Facility in North Jackson, but she also was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. She always centered her life around family and God. Julie was an active member of St. Maron Church, its St. Tobias Society, was a Sunday School teacher for over 41 years, helped with the Maronite Youth Organization, and was a Board Member for the Education Foundation. She was also very instrumental in the men's and women's Renewals not only at ST. Maron, but with several other churches throughout Ohio and Pennsylvania. Julie leaves to cherish her memory her beloved high school sweetheart Jim L. Sharrow whom she married on September 3, 1976 at St. Maron Church, her two children Earl Sharrow and Kalyn Sharrow both of Canton, the apple of her eye, her grandson Sergio Gonzalez, two sisters Patricia Olsen of Struthers and Virginia Jones of Liberty, a brother Thomas (Mary) Manser of California, along with numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and many friends. Besides her parents Julie was preceded indeath by an Infant brother Jon Manser. Julie's passion and dedication for education along with her love of helping others prompted her to donate her body to NeoMed so that it could help the young men and woman in the medical profession. Family and friends may pay their respects to Julie's family immediately following the Memorial Mass in the Anitoch Hall. Arrangements have been entrusted to the professional care of the Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home, 4700 Market St., Boardman. The Sharrow family would like to thank all the medical professionals at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Belmont Campus and University Hospital at Case Western Reserve for all of their care and support during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers material contributions may be made in Julie's name to St. Maron Church, 1555 S. Meridian Rd. Youngstown, Ohio 44511 for masses to be said in her memory or to the Maronite Christian Formation (catechism pogram) at St. Maron Church.
